A brief and non-exhaustive (!?) history thus far.... cue rolling credits and fanfare.
We have over 15 years software engineering experience in developing and providing software for embedded and mobile solutions.
We started out developing in-house applications for OPL - powering Psion-based software products in 1994. Birthday Reminders. Yay. Soon after we were building network aware software for Psion technology - technology that would eventually evolve and make it into our 21st century products through the massive growth potential of Symbian.
In 1998, we took the giant leap into WindowsCE, developing first generation HandheldPC software. Colour... woooo! We developed several research engines for graphics and diagrammatic applications.
In 2000, PocketPC came along, and we fell in love with the Java Virtual Machine for PDAs - PersonalJava, developing editors and FTP client software amongst other things. PersonalJava later evolved into the legacy of CDC, in J2ME - Java for Mobile Devices.
By 2001, we had designed proprietary methods and models in collaboration with existing SDKs from hardware manufacturers for rapidly constructing native cross-device software on multiple form factors, resolutions and processors, the kings of the mobile world; MIPS, SH3/4 and ARM.
2002, PalmOS and J2ME MIDP (CLDC) software consulting commercially for clients in the city of London.
Summer 2006, Tigerlily Digital was created on a (clean) napkin, with new commercial enthusiasm and professional research experience in tangible and touch enabled technology and Human-Computer Interaction. We are proud of our roots and connections, especially with joint lectures delivered at City University London's most superb Department of Computing and the Centre for HCI Design which we maintain close ties with.
With a wealth of mobile device platforms experience with industry leading technologies we are happy to hear from you and help to make your successful future a part of our successful history of clients.
